Here are the high-impact environmental charities we support using the proceeds from donated phones. We expect to add more great charities as we get recommendations from our supporters.
You've probably heard of Greenpeace already. It's long-time, independent campaigning organization which uses non-violent, creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems, and develop solutions for a green and peaceful future. Their goal is to create a world where all life on earth can flourish.
You may not have heard of the NRDC, but it's an excellent group. It's purpose is to safeguard the Earth, its people, plants animals and natural systems on which all life depends. They work to restore the integrity of the elements that sustain life - air, land, and water - and to defend endangered natural places.
Team Trees, also known as #teamtrees, is a 2019 collaborative fundraiser that managed to raise $20 million to plant 20 million trees. It was mostly supported by YouTubers, so it has the attention of many young people. All donations go to the Arbor Day Foundation, a tree-planting organization that pledges to plant one tree for every U.S. dollar donated.
